Man of the Year 2014
Pasquale Vetrano was born in Italy on August 28, 1945.
He came to the United States at age 16. Upon arrival he worked hard at various jobs.
While attending English language classes he met the love of his life Lucietta.
Lucietta had come to the United States from Pomiglian D’Arco wanting to make
her future here. After a six month courtship they fell deeply in love and married.
Three children soon followed.
In 1975 Pasquale and his family moved to Pomiglian D’Arco. After several years they
returned back to the United States wanting their children to have greater opportunities.
Pasquale and Lucietta opened their own restaurant in 1979, Papa Ciro’s in New Hyde Park.
From hard work, dedication and perseverance. Papa Ciro’s is now 35 years strong.
Pasquale Vetrano, a pillar of the community possesses all the great qualities to be Man of the Year.
He is a devoted husband, father and grandfather; he truly has achieved the American Dream.
